Why Earth School exists

Some of life's most important lessons aren't taught in a classroom.

We spend years learning about the world around us. Far less time goes to the skills that shape how we live in it.

Understanding what we feel. Responding to setbacks. Building healthy relationships. Finding perspective when life changes.

The Gratitude Journal for Kids

A guided daily journal for ages 7 to 9, rooted in positive psychology.

A short morning page and a short evening page, every day. More than a place to write down what they're thankful for, it introduces children to useful ways of thinking and gives them everyday chances to practise them, through reflection, small challenges and conversations.

Gratitude is where it starts, not where it ends.

Hardcover, 5.25 x 7.25 in (13.3 x 18.4 cm), 216 pages, English. About 5 minutes a day, morning and evening.

Why we're starting with children

Why start with children?

Childhood is a time of extraordinary learning and development. Alongside reading, writing and understanding the world, children are forming habits, perspectives and ways of thinking that may shape how they approach life for years to come.

We want to help them build emotional awareness, resilience and connection, and hold on to curiosity, imagination and courage.

These are skills worth practising early, and continuing to develop throughout life.

Our mission

To create thoughtful, evidence-informed tools that help people understand themselves, navigate life's challenges, build meaningful relationships and flourish.

Our vision

A world where the skills to live well are nurtured as intentionally as the knowledge we acquire, throughout childhood and every stage of life.
